So awoke at 6:45 am, sunshine streaming through the windows...started coffee, figured I would get the blog finished..amazing wifi here in the campground, by 7:15....clouds, thunder in the distance...by 8:45...sunshine and lollipops!!! It's going to be another one of those days
On the road again....
On our way to Smith Rock State Park....took a secondary road to check out the scenery...we always try to take the back roads....much more interesting stuff happening.
Even though we are not rock climbers ourselves, the word is, you must check this out, and so glad we did.

It was getting pretty warm, so left our poor Gracie in the cool trailer and headed out for a hike...hoping to see some rock climbers. There are some newbies climbing on this rock...

A group of Outbound youth rockclimbing...and doing a damn fine job of it...now up close...this looks really pretty difficult...Watching and hearing these guys...we soon realized just how hard this is...
We climbed up a ways past these guys hoping to get a better look of things...
Squeezed through some "holes" following a couple to a better vantage point
Got pretty close to getting there...but after talking with the people we were following, and remembering we had a "poogle" waiting for us back in the parking lot, we turned around....not really interested in "making the local news...so we enjoyed the views and started to head back down...

And then we saw the BIG GUNS!!!!OMG So you have already seen this picture...but look to the middle of the picture...left of the opening in the sky....do you see two people???
Now, look at them again a short time later...guy and a girl..
Now to really see how high up they are....this picture is now zoomed out...CRAZY!!!
