July 14, 2015 Hood River

Awoke to another gorgeous day in Hood River...well actually awoke on the Washington side of the Great Columbia River in White Salmon, only a $1.00 toll bridge away from Hood River...we have paid so many bridge tolls we have lost track....Leisurely get-up, breakfast at the trailer, then headed across the toll-bridge...it is so narrow....you have to turn in the truck mirrors as we go across... George is so calm driving across...I am not...

Planned on going for a bike ride, but had a bit of a delay.... had to go to a Machine Shop to have our bike lock taken off by bolt cutters (gave up the ghost piece of crap). We did some shopping downtown...cute little trendy but  expensive shops...

We came across the coolest house anywhere....
There isn't a single part of this house that does not have colour!!!
Looks like I dressed just for this house...
The entire house and yard and outbuildings....colourful..
......The garage doors...
....The sidewalk all the way down the street...
....And to complete the whole look for this Colourful Family....colurful cars....

And after the delay, went for a bike ride down on the water front. It was so busy, Kite Surfers and Wind Surfers scattered everywhere...

A good philosophy to live by...

And the best way to finish off a day of bike riding and touring around...
Our campsite was convenient...luckily, because it was one of the noisiest campsites we have ever been to..
