July 2, 2015 Grayland Beach State Park

Left Port Townsend on a sunny morning, wishing we could stay longer, but I have a feeling we will return again some day....
Headed down Highway 101, only one wrong turn.....don't think we were meant to be a road called "Egg and I Road"....yup!!! pretty rural....after a few "looks from George" and a quick adjustment to "Roxanne (the GPS lady)", we were safely on our way.

Arrived early enough to enjoy an afternoon on the beach.  It's great to be able to have Gracie off-leash on the beach, she ran and ran and ran...she loves it here at the ocean.

Later in the evening, when George was out taking Gracie for her last walk....he met someone looking for the "biker/hiker camp"...and next thing I know, we have a great young girl setting up her tent in our campsite, hunkering down for the evening after a really long solo ride...and that is where the story of Samantha begins...34 day solo bike trip down the Oregon Coast...brave...inspirational...
